Friday night update from the Birthday Regatta

Gerald went with "Trail Boss" and the other Viper crew member ("Hippie" or "Danger"?) for steak while Carol Anne and I hung around the Birthday Regatta circus tent and met and re-met a bunch of sailors. The chef and his crew did a fine job of Mediterranean / North African style cooking. It was pretty noisy inside the tent -- and, tomorrow, when more sailors arrive, it'll probably be even noisier. It also looks like Carol Anne and Gerald will have boats to sail on tomorrow, while I'll continue on race committee. Tomorrow's winds may not be as dependable as today's were, but with sixty or more boats on the line it should be a beautiful day on the water.
