A Remedy for the Cares of Land
Ed & Marion's boat "Remedy" (for sale to the right new owner), a well-loved 45-foot Hunter of recent vintage. Crew on bow appears to be rather larger and perhaps slightly less nimble than typical, indicating that Remedy isn't likely to engage in serious spinnaker work until after the New Year. Photos taken Dec. 30, 2005, in the Seabrook, TX area.
Port side of salon. Note built-in ducting for one of two reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning units.
Salon starboard, with just a hint on the left of the elegantly curved companionway ladder.
One of many decadent luxury touches aboard, the tub-shower.
Ed in the very civilized master stateroom with easily accessible queen berth and lots of stowage and headroom.
Shiny, clean, four-cylinder diesel engine.
Secret weapon and another decadent touch: the button just to right of bottom center is for the electrically powered winch. Lines from other winches can be run to it, meaning the just about anything can be hauled or trimmed with the touch of a button. Who said sailing has to be for masochists?
