The tall cacti of Arizona

Above and following are samples of the local landscape and flora viewed en route from Tempe to Payson as we left the Valley of the Sun after depositing Gerald at Arizona State University. One curiosity of highway engineering is also worth noting; the freeway crosses over itself as it traverses rugged mountain canyons.
