Yes, the cat does have thumbs. He's got six toes on each front foot, and five each on the rear.
Gerald had gone to a big sale at a sporting-goods store, and city Animal Services had a mobile adoption center in the parking lot. He was standing a little too close, and Scratch reached out and tapped him on the shoulder. Gerald was doomed.
What a softy.
