View from the Top at Rock Canyon Marina

From twenty-some feet above the water, the perspective is just a bit different. These are more views of the Rock Canyon Marina at Elephant Butte Lake in southern New Mexico. The pictures were taken during the weekend of April 19th, when I went up the masts of an Etchells and a thirty-foot cruising boat, from which these pictures were taken. In both cases, I only needed to do some work near the spreaders, so these pictures aren't as spectacular as some that Gerald took earlier in the year from near the masthead on a larger boat.



Detail shows a sailboat racing into the marina cove under headsail only. Winds were breezy, running 10 to 20 mph or more.
